Subject: biphasic effect
A biphasic effect of pH seems to occur for S-nitrosylated TTR.

какой "эффект" "происходит" для S-нитризированной молекулы ТТР?

Вот это предложение в контексте:

In vitro S-nitrosylation of TTR results in an increased ratio of monomers to tetramers and an increase in the formation of amyloid fibrils [1330].

A biphasic effect of pH seems to occur for S-nitrosylated TTR.

Amyloid fibril formation of S-nitrosylated TTR is greater than unmodified TTR for pH 3.0 to 4.0 and for pH 6.0 and 6.5, but is not significantly different for pH 4.5 to 5.5 based on Fig. 4 of ref. [1330]. This suggests that S-nitrosylation of TTR might contribute to amyloid formation at higher pH than would otherwise occur. Pilot studies found an increase in carbonylated, but not in nitrosylated TTR, in sera from the same mouse at increasing ages, and an increased concentration of monomer was not observed.

похоже на "двухфазный эффект"
по аналогии от
