Specific mapping and ablation techniques that are used differ depending on the type of VT. While patients with no overt structural heart disease account for a small percentage of patients with VT, they are of particular interest for ablation therapy as this technique may be curative.

These typically present as a single VT arising from the RV with an LBBB inferior axis morphology or from the LV with a right bundle-branch block (RBBB) morphology and, in general, are associated with a good prognosis.
