| kath: под операционной кассой понимается отделение банка, которое занимается приемом платежей, переводами без открытия счета, операциями с пластиковыми картами и прочей мелочовкой, поэтому это не просто window, а какой-тио офис. А насчет client service floor - согласна. |
| токо гуглится лучше area - но все равно результатов маловато. По определению, явление должно быть распространенным. |

| 2Irisha - thank you for explaining. I think that bank tellers in the US do all that. At a retail bank there is usually an Information desk, New Accounts Services and Teller Windows, which are sometimes divided into Commercial Clients and Personal Banking. All on the main floor. And in the basement there are Safety Deposit Boxes. Not that anyone asked me :)) |

Чем, кстати, вариант operator плох? Тетечки, которые денежные переводы "Western Union принимают, именно так и называются. |
| 2Рудут - operationist sounds a tad strange :)) and Nick3, nothing wrong with operator. I think it's just that certain job titles have certain accepted associations, that's all. A person who takes payments, takes deposits, dispenses cash, etc. at a bank is called a bank teller. However, if you wanted to do the same transactions by phone then the person on the other end of the line is called a 'Customer Service Representative'. Re. Western Union - the term 'operator' extends even beyond those 'tetechki'. A store that houses/renders Wester Union services may be called a Western Union operator. |
