At Lords the old boys sit o high stools to watch the cricket; in the MCG they have a long leather settee – but you have to have been a member for Fifty Years before you are allowed to sit on the settee – and have your membership card or special badge to prove it!!! There are thousands of people in the queue to become members – the waiting list is 20 years long. Every summer when the cricket season ends they DIG UP THE SIX MAIN PITCHES and RESITE them outside the ground so that they can play Australian Football on the ground. Then they bring them back when the next season begins. It holds twice the number Lords does – and more. There is also a comprehensive cricket museum and another devoted to the Olympic games which were held there in 1956.

| хотя... это некоторым образом зависит от макроконтекста... если автору, скажем, самому лет под 90, то может они для него и "парни"... |
