Чревато. В вашем тексте или в связанных с ним очень может попасться просто workstation.

engineering station – the access has only programmer / software specialist within the first STG putting into operation. It enables to make changes in parameters of STG control system. After the first putting into operation is finished, there are no further changes or there are only very minor.

operational stations – access has machine hall operator / engineer. It is used for control of STG within operations. It enables to show different technological screens / mimics context:
