| well, let's try to colloquialize it, shall we? i m not sure if u could find this text (article, passage, excerpt, entry) in the magazine (journal, logbook). it is hard to tell which of the words in parentheses to pick without the benefit of more information. it is too context-sensetive. |

Да, I'm not sure звучит естественней. Амеры вообще употребляют эту фразу в значении "я не знаю". Например, "Who is the president of the United States? - I'm not sure". На русский это можно перевести как "точно не знаю". :-)) |
| Slava - именно - I am not sure получается именно с привкусом "точно" или "вообще-то" (как в "точно не знаю"); (или "не могу сказать"; "трудно сказать"). А в вопросе-то "не знаю" стояло конкретно. Но представить эту речевую ситуацию возможно по-разному, и, конечно, Talgat и Вы предложили (поддержали) очень хороший вариант. |
