Subject: dominant opening construct. Коллеги, помогите перевести выражение dominant opening в следующем контексте:The total pressure coefficient C for individual elements in a particular area of an enclosed building shall be :- (a) in the case where there is only a negligible probability of a dominant opening occurring during a severe storm, the value given in Table El; and (b) in the case where a dominant opening is likely to occur during a severe storm, the value determined with the aid of other published materials acceptable to the Building Authority or through the use of wind tunnel model studies. Это абзац из Cтроительных правил Гонконга. Речь идет о коэффициенте общего давления ветра на здание. |

Единственное, что приходит в голову: основное (всасывающее) отверстие/окно речь в принципе идет о любом отверстии, ч/з которое ветер под напором попадает в здание (окно, пролом в стене и т.д). Вот неплохой PPP на эту тему: |
