Какая разница между словами "слияние" и "присоединение"? Английский перевод для обоих "consolidation, merger, accession, acquisition, takeover." Есть разница?

Посмотрите ст. 58 ГК РФ и определения из Black's Law:.

При слиянии юр. лиц права и обязанности каждого из них переходят к вновь созданному юр. лицу.
Consolidation occurs when two or more corporations are extinguished and by the same process a new one is created taking over the assets and assuming liabilities of those passing out of existence.

При присоединении юр. лица к другому юр. лицу к последнему переходят права и обязанности присоединенного юр. лица. Merger is almagamation of two corporations in which one of the corporations survives and the other disappears.
В эту же категорию можно отнести и acquisition (purchase of one company by another in which no new company is formed) и takeover.
