Subject: letters OK are displayed at printer comp. It is said in the operating instructions for a control panel (small display and push buttons): "When printer is disconnected, letters O.K.are displayed at printer"There are different functions and PRINTER (letters, no icon) is one of them. Can I translate "...высвечиваются на ПРИНТЕР"? Maybe you can advise a good web address, where I could find basic stuff like above in Russian? |
| if PRINTER is a function name, in your case, so keep it as is. |

| Дело в том, что речь идет о function name PRINTER. So, the letters OK are displayed at (next to/besides) the function name PRINTER on display of the control panel of packing machine (not of printer). |

| That is true, it is said so in the text (not good English) meaning that the printer is a function name. I tried to explain it in my question text: "There are different functions and PRINTER (letters, no icon) is one of them", but obviously could not explain it clearly enough (although DpoH seemed to understand what I meant). Sorry for confusion! |

| нет, если на панели есть просто зона, на которой написано PRINTER (то есть это не изображение принтера, а просто слово) и надпись OK появляется в этой зоне, то можно сказать - высвечивается ОК на участке/в зоне с надписью ПРИНТЕР |
| если на панели написано PRINTER, то и переводить надо с надписью PRINTER. иначе получается нонсенс, поскольку руссификацию панели никто не выполнял. |
