1.1 T/S measurement system at the RH vessel
One automatic temperature and sampling lance as well as one slag breaker lance will be in-stalled in the RH treatment position in order to measure the temperature and the EMF or to take samples of the liquid steel. The lances are mounted together on one common swivelling device. With this swivelling device the lances are able to swivel over the steel bath in order to drive into the liquid steel. Before the T/S lance can be used and to prevent any damages on the lances, the slag on top of the liquid steel must be opened by the slag breaker.
