Subject: secured tech.
Please help me in finding a translation for: secured

Here's the text, it is about circular saw
Stop the saw and turn the selector switch in the control panel to position "secured". This is needed in order to release the brake (of the saw). Is is possible to use "застрахован" also in technical text?

So, what would be the "secured" in technical text?

it depends on what happens when the switch is so positioned.
Could be "застопорено"

More detailed description of the feature in question would help.

I'm sorry I don't have much information. The whole text is about changing grinding stones that are placed on both sides of the saw disc. I think the basic idea of the "secured" in this text is "to secure the stopping of the saw so, that it cannot start working in any case".
Hope this helps!

In such case this is definitely "застопорено" meaning 'stopped securely'

we can say "поставлено на стопор" meaning 'stopper applied'
however it is not a good wording for naming a switch position, too long one.

so, there is not such a long word "стопор", повернуть на "secured" (стопор).

Тогда для пилы придется писать "тормоз"

Перечитал текст.
Действительно в нем получается установка на стопор, после чего можно отпустить тормоз.
Тогда действительно можно написать короче чем у меня.
