Написано "труд." - сокращение от слова "трудящихся". During Soviet time it was a name of municipal authorities: "Исполнительный комитет совета депутатов трудящихся". And the word "Трудящихся" meant that the deputies were persons who were faithful in the performance of their day-to-day work (it means not as deputy but as a working citizen) rather than sponger. |
