Although this “normal” reaction can vary considerably, the anticipated reaction should be predictable for an integration. A good basic rule is that following vaccination, a mild respiratory reaction should be detected at 2 to 3 days following vaccination and last for 5 to 7 days. This reaction should be self-limiting. If the reaction is more severe than desired or is not self-limiting, this also is cause for concern and should be investigated.
