Шо-та я в Гугле никак не найду letter of credit в качестве прямого дополнения к exercise... В Мультитране тоже нет таких примеров... А вы, Ириша, в неком аутентичном тексте такое встречали?? |

Также, например, интересует перевод этого выражения в контексте следующей фразы: В случае НЕ ИСПОЛНЕНИЯ АККРЕДИТИВА по причине ненадлежащего выполнения Продавцом своих обязательств по Контракту в размере открытого аккредитива оплата будет производиться на основании подписанных актов приёмки продукции по качеству и количеству и оригиналов счетов-фактур в порядке и сроки дополнительно согласованные Сторонами. |

может быть вам помотреть Публикацию Международной Торговой Палаты № 500 (Унифицированные правила и обычаи для документарных аккредитивов)? В "Консультанте" она есть на английском. Ну или Публикацию № 590. |

Хорошо. to honor a letter of credit "(8) "honor" of a letter of credit means performance of the issuer's undertaking in the letter of credit to pay or deliver an item of value; unless the letter of credit provides otherwise, "honor" occurs (A) upon payment; (B) if the letter of credit provides for acceptance, upon acceptance of a draft and, at maturity, its payment; or (C) if the letter of credit provides for incurring a deferred obligation, upon incurring the obligation and, at maturity, its performance; (5) "dishonor" of a letter of credit means the failure timely to honor or to take an interim action, such as acceptance of a draft, that may be required by the letter of credit;" |
