IT Desktop Analyst -Support local and remote Aspect clients as a member of the Information Technology department. -Provide end-user support in Aspect's Headquarters based in Westford or Aspect's Chelmsford office (in person) and for remote users. The focus is on desktop support in an NT/W2K/XP/2003/UNIX environment. -Perform hardware & software installation, upgrades and problem resolution to facilitate Aspect employee's day-to-day productivity. -Perform personal computer and peripherals installation, upgrades, trouble-shooting for problem resolution; including trouble-shooting system configuration conflicts at the hardware, software or network level. -Perform installation and resolution of network and local printers issues. -May include: creating and maintaining PC & Laptop images; software distribution environment (for PCs and Laptops); remote control software installation, management & maintenance; domain account creation and maintenance; email account creation and maintenance; etc. -May also include: NT/W2K/2003 server hardware and OS installation and maintenance for infrastructure services such as email, printing, file sharing, DNS, WINS, etc. -Workload will be dispatched from the IT Help Desk requiring this individual to prioritize and update case status information to users. -Work with other members of the IT support staff. -Participate and contribute to the ongoing IT optimization process. -Serve as a technical consultant resource to other desktop support technicians for problem resolution and teaching new skills. -Provide technical instruction to helpdesk personnel on existing and new hardware/software and IT service support processes/procedures. May also be called upon to man helpdesk positions. -May serve in desktop technical lead positions on an interim basis. -Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Qualifications: - Must be a team-player, self-starter, goal oriented, open minded, flexible and a people oriented professional. - Must have a thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows NT/2000/2003, MS Office 2000/2003, Outlook client and Exchange 5.5/2000/2003, VNC and/or other remote-control software. - Must have a CNE, MCSE, A+ Certification, or equivalent experience. - Knowledge of Internet Explorer, UNIX, Anti-Virus programs, Remote Access Software Products, LAN/WAN product support required. - Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP in a global networked environment required. Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and backing up Windows NT/2000/2003 servers as well as creating Windows NT domain and Exchange accounts a plus. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required. - Travel may be required. - Diploma with computer related course work or equivalent experience required, degree preferred. - Minimum five years experience in a PC desktop/laptop support environment.
