I don't know what 'cam' means here, but others may. However, those two paragraphs have been written by a non-native-level speaker, as there are several errors in them (as you may have worked out). 'Cam' usually means a rotating, non-circular disc -- as on a car engine's camshaft -- that makes rods (in contact with the edge of it) move up and down -- as shown here: http://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Кулачковый_механизм |
