A 'spread' in newspaper terms means an article that takes up a lot of space -- for example, several columns, a whole page or several pages, eg:
'a four-column spread' (=an article taking up four columns)
'a full-page spread'
'a two-page spread'.

'rendition spread' -- I've no idea, but see this:

Also, just for your amusement, a new word has entered English over the past 2-3 years -- 'manspreading'. It's when a man sits with his legs wide apart, for example on public transport, thereby taking up more than one seat or space so that other passengers have to stand up:

Is there a Russian word for this?

manspreading = сидеть развалясь

посмотрел, явление обычно переводят как "мужчины, сидящие с широко раздвинутыми ногами".
длинновато.
если приживется в русском, возможна народная транслитерация оригинала.

Wolverin: Oh no, not another English word imported into Russian! You've got a great language, you don't need to import all of this rubbish from us!

"You've got a great language, you don't need to import all of this rubbish from us!" Normans would say to Anglo-Saxons =)))
