The G-3 may direct that newly restored mission capable systems are provided to other than the originally owning unit if needed to build combat power in the new unit. In this case the G-4 coordinates unit property books adjustments. Subcomponents of combat and tactical vehicles are switched from one vehicle to another as necessary in a controlled cannibalization process to restore as many systems as possible.
