What about web sites that contain news of our town? Monitoring all these news outlets is important. As people try to cram more and more work, chores and other activities into their day, the biggest obstacle for viewers, listeners and readers becomes time. We want to make sure people find our broadcast worthy of their time investment. • Station values - Often these are set by the general manager and news director and thus can, and do, change when new ones come along. |

Умение найти информационный повод. То есть событию мало происходить, нужно еще, чтобы оно было новостью. Например, леса горят каждый год летом. А вот так, чтобы вся Москва задыхалась - только в 2010-м. то есть у события должна быть некая фишка, которая позволяет ему быть новостью. Это называется "информационный повод". |

до кучи But I think news judgment remains important, even if it has changed. We need editors who understand the best channels, times and ways to share stories on social platforms. We need strong home pages and we still need strong print front pages. We need strong editors to make sure that newspapers are not just recounting what readers already saw yesterday. кстати, очень познавательно |
