Subject: Две тысячи пятый год Можно ли перевести Две тысячи пятый год как Two Thousand and Five
|
Нужно! :-) или the year ~ Only no need to capitalize |
thank you very much, а можно перевести как - twenty oh five, и что лучше, ответье пожалйста, это для меня очень важно |
to my ear, two thousand and five or year two thousand and five. twenty-o-five is more conversational. also, i cannot figure out how to spell it. your way with "oh" doesn't seem right. and neither does mine. stick to the sure thing. imho. |

I've heard "two K five", but I consider that as very conventional, even illiterate |
2K5 is not illiterate, but i would recommend refraining from using it in writing. |
2K5 is not illiterate. In business language K=kilo='000 is frequently used. |

milenium plus five))) - do not consider my variant as serious please.... |
Spelling out the year is common in wedding invitations, for example. I have seen it spelled out both ways: "two thousand five" or "two thousand and five". |
