Withdrawing from a Course
The University recognizes that a student may need to withdraw from a course during a
term or semester. Accordingly, withdrawal for compelling academic reasons is
permitted until the end of the sixth week of the semester for semester courses and the
end of the third week of the term for term courses .... A grade of “W” will be assigned for all courses dropped.

If you drop courses after the deadline, you will receive a grade of “W/F”
(Withdrawal/Failing). You may appeal the grade by submitting a written appeal to
the assistant dean of the college offering the course.
