Almost all TV/radio stations and newspapers around the world are biased in their news coverage, in my view. The BBC likes to think it's different from the rest – but it isn't, especially in its foreign news coverage. Also, as a nation, we're in denial about our football "supporters" and have been for decades. Many of them are hooligans, but successive governments have done nothing about them and so the police here have little power to control them. When they go abroad and cause trouble, it's always easier to blame 'Johnny Foreigner', which is what usually happens. However, if they start to cause trouble in Russia I think they'll get a surprise.... |

| сразу были вопросы, почему Черышева не было в стартовом составе (или у нас есть хотя бы еще один игрок, который прилично играет в приличной европейской лиге? всяко ж не Дзагоев). так что можно сказать, выиграли благодаря тому, что Дзагоев травму получил (пусть у него все будет хорошо). |

Это не троллинг, мной вроде бы сразу обозначено, что я не особо интересуюсь. Поэтому и удивляюсь: сборную Италии знаю, Германии знаю. Даже Англии знаю. Про Саудовскую Аравию - нет, не слышал. Ну до сегодняшнего дня, по крайней мере:) ЗЫ. А Лихтенштейн и Сан-Марино будут участвовать? |

And despite that, RT is not nearly as biased and mendacious as the so-called mainstream media, me thinks :) (And I watch lots of TV) Moreover, unlike most other outlets, they don't shove the narrative (heavily laced with an agenda) down your throat. Instead, they tend to report the story as best they can and let the viewer draw their own conclusions. (That's the impression I get, anyway) Now, that's what they call journalism, isn't it? Needless to say, RT's perspective (endorsed by Putin personally!) is almost invariably at odds with the mainstream media and that's [one of] the reason[s] it's been branded as Putin's propaganda arm. By the way, do you know what the modern definition of propaganda is?.. It's anything you don't like or disagree with ;) PS: God, why do I feel as if I am on RT's payroll?. :))) |

| Роли не играет, побили саудитов или уличную команду. Главное, на мой взгляд, они почувствовали вкус гола. Это важно. Можно играть, играть, и неплохо играть, но не забивать. А тут огромный стимул. Мне вообще непонятно, почему в России команду смешали с навозом еще до начала чемпионата. Если бы это делали украинцы, назвали бы их фашистами. А самим не стыдно? |
